Job Description:
GXO Logistics, a leader in supply chain solutions, is seeking a
Manager, Tax Provisions to join our dynamic Finance team. This role
focuses on enhancing and overseeing GXO's tax accounting processes,
ensuring compliance with relevant laws, and optimizing our
financial strategies associated with taxes. As a Manager, Tax
Provisions, you will collaborate with senior finance leadership and
work on strategic tax initiatives that support GXO’s goals of
reducing costs and enhancing customer experience through efficient
tax management. You will play a key role in preparing and analyzing
accounting records, financial statements, or other financial
reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to
reporting and procedural standards. Manage the preparation of
quarterly and annual tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax documents. Plan and
execute internal controls over the tax provision process. Review
tax calculations, estimates, and reports accruals and purpose
partnering with the finance/accounting departments. Stay abreast of
the latest developments in tax regulation and advise the management
on potential impacts and strategies. Lead, develop, and supervise a
team of tax professionals ensuring professional growth and
compliance to departmental goals. Coordinate with external auditors
during audits and reviews to ensure compliance with all regulatory
requirements. Analyze tax implications for various business
initiatives and changes in laws to provide strategic solutions.
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, especially those
pertinent to the transportation and logistics industry. Proficiency
in tax-related software and accounting systems. Excellent
analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Strong
leadership and team management capabilities. Effective
communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred. Masters in Taxation (MTax) or
similar could be an advantage.
