Overview:
Work with the garage team in repairing and maintaining the MDI fleet of diesel trucks and trailers.

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities:
--- Perform basic inspection (check fluids, lights, brakes, etc)
--- Perform preventive maintenance on cars, trucks, trailers and other equipment
--- Fuel company equipment.
--- Record and enter maintenance and parts information into the computer.
--- Work in a safe manner adhering to all MDI, state and federal safety rules
--- Must be able to bend, stoop, stretch, lift, read, write and lift up to and including 100 lbs.
--- Operate trailer yard spotter.
--- May be required to perform other tasks as necessary.
--- Change truck and trailer tires as needed.
--- Responsible for following all training documents and procedures as it relates to Food Safety and Food Defense.
Qualifications:

--- 3-5 years of hands-on repair and diagnosis experience
--- ASE certifications preferred in: Suspension/Steering, Air brake, Diesel/Gasoline, Transmission/Differential; must obtain brake certification within 2 years of hire
--- Experience in transmission/differential repair
--- Intermediate computer skills with diagnosis programs preferred
--- Experience with Mack/Detroit engines
--- Basic welding skills
--- Air conditioning certified- multiple acceptable programs for certification
--- Transmission/ Differential experience
--- Computer literate with Dossier and some OEM engine diagnosis programs
--- Minor hands-on welding experience
--- Work towards Master ASE Certification
