This position leads the Global Treasury function for Company by partnering with the business and capital providers to fund profitable growth, optimize cash availability and investment returns and minimize financial risk. The Vice President and Treasurer will manage capital structure to meet financial objectives as well as establish innovative funding solutions while maximizing cash for strategic deployment. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, the Treasurer will drive efficient and effective risk management practices, including global compliance, insurance and foreign exchange rate management as well as oversee global banking operations and cash-management activities.
Duties & Responsibilities Develop and oversee global treasury strategies and policies: Formulate and approve corporate treasury’s strategic goals and annual objectives. Effectively deploy banking products and services to support company objectives. Direct development and revision of financial policies for commercial banking, cash management, investments, and financial risk management. Develop and oversee the execution of cash management strategies, including oversight and periodic review of short-term investment compliance and revisions to global investment policy as needed. Provide insightful and strategic support to the Company’s credit facilities and loan agreements; review and approve all required credit facility covenant compliance activities and reporting. Develop and execute investment and financial risk management policies; identify and monitor financial exposures including foreign exchange, interest rate and commodity risk; conduct analyses and make recommendations to management to minimize those financial exposures and reduce volatility. Approve execution of derivative contracts. Work to minimize the economic impact of foreign exchange rate changes on the Company assets, cash flow and earnings. Provide insightful information and analysis to executive management regarding n of trends and changes in financial markets, legislation or practices that may impact financial management of the Company. Provide support for closing capital market transactions including loan structuring, term review and negotiating, and funds flow coordination. Provide financial leadership and support with acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, including due diligence, review of agreements, financing, and funds flow execution. Manage global treasury operations, technology, internal controls and budgets : Manage global cash and liquidity in support of operations and corporate strategy. Collaborate with business teams to enhance cash flow forecasting and repatriation of foreign earnings to the U.S. as required, in cooperation with corporate tax, accounting and legal departments. Ensure maintenance of management reporting systems for monitoring treasury activities, risks and controls in relation to treasury policies. Oversee borrowing activities, derivative transactions, credit facility compliance and reporting. Direct foreign exchange risk management practices. Support global insurance risk management, including policy renewals and loss control programs. Provide support to enterprise risk management activities. Direct integration of treasury activities for acquisitions, in conjunction with accounting, IT and other departments. Maintain effective control activities globally. Oversee the maintenance and utilization of credit facilities of the Company ensuring appropriate access to liquidity for US and international operations; identify means and sources for increasing access to liquidity; advise on short-term borrowing needs; direct the configuration and interest rate designation of revolving loan maturities and rollovers. Ensure accuracy of all treasury-related reporting and forecasts, including reporting on cash and investments, debt and liquidity, financial exposures, treasury metrics, and monthly, quarterly and annual loan compliance reporting; ensure maintenance and ongoing improvement in reporting systems and access to critical information. Direct and oversee development of treasury-related budgets and provide inputs to and review of company cash flow plans and forecasts. Enhance treasury processes/technology to drive efficiencies and cost savings. Cultivate internal and external business relationships: Promote strategic cross-functional collaboration with business leaders and colleagues, including tax, legal, supply chain, and accounting. Oversee and coordinate relationships with banking partners. Manage interaction with internal and external auditors, as appropriate. Provide vision and organization leadership to treasury team: Support ongoing treasury staff development and align individual performance objectives with company strategic objectives. Drive the Treasury talent strategy by setting objectives regarding talent acquisition and development, skills utilization and team optimization; overseeing performance appraisals, promotions, salary administration and when necessary, disciplinary actions, change in employee status and/or terminations. Education & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting required. Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and/or other professional treasury designations and certifications preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience with at least 7 years of meaningful managerial/supervisory experience required. Must have finance/treasury related experience at the leadership level; must have experience working with senior management. Prefer prior experience as an Assistant Treasurer or in a more senior capacity with a multinational Fortune 1000 company or larger. Excellence and achievement oriented.
