Job Summary and Qualifications
Job Summary: Performs various patient care activities, and
technical skills necessary in caring for patients under the
direction and supervision of the RN. Utilizes assessment skills and
participates in the implementation of plans of care and the
evaluations of interventions. Performs selected clinical functions
of a licensed nurse. The LPN is able to demonstrate the knowledge
and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the
patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual
demonstrates knowledge of growth and development over the life span
and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the
patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed
to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age
specific needs. Patient age groups are defined as
follows:Qualifications:A. Education and Training - graduate from an
accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Licensed
Practical Nurse in the state of North Carolina.B. Experience: Must
demonstrate ability to perform necessary duties.C. Meets the
physical and mental demands of the position.D. BLS required
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon,
Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of
Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care,
acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care
through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also
available, including therapy services and primary care.
Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care
services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd Living Center.
