expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications Role Summary: The Nurse
Navigator is a specialized health care professional who follows
patients with a specific medical diagnosis or healthcare need
exits. The Nurse Navigator will focus on the following areas of
service: clinical services, education, community outreach,
survivorship, data and research management. The individual acts as
a liaison for the patient and family addressing their concerns and
questions. Additional responsibilities include community education
efforts such as health screenings and promotions and also serve an
educator and liaison for the healthcare team.Required Education:
Effective 3/1/18 Bachelor of Science in Nursing OR enroll in a BSN
or advanced degree program within 6 months AND obtain a BSN within
4 years of hire date into RN position. Previous signed BSN
commitment letter OR grandfathering will be accepted between
departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions may be approved
with CNO System Council approval.Preferred Education: Masters in
NursingRequired License: Must have and maintain current licensure
as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC
(Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee
should confirm with NCBON.Certification: National Nursing
Certification in area of specialtyCertificate: BLS Healthcare
ProviderPreferred License/Certifications: Certificate: ACLS, other
certificate as required by specialtyRequired Experience: Minimum of
3 years nursing experiencePreferred Experience: 5 years nursing
