Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate fetal monitoring or
above, STABLE for nursery Must-Have: Experience in general OB
L&D and nursery care Description: This position involves
nursing care in the Labor and Delivery and Nursery units. The role
includes providing care for patients during labor, delivery, and
postpartum recovery. Duties may also involve caring for newborns
and supporting mothers in the nursery. The facility has a low
volume of deliveries on average, with less than 15 deliveries per
month. The equipment in the OB unit includes general obstetric
equipment. The Electronic Health Record system used is Meditech.
The unit consists of 3 Labor and Delivery beds, 9 OB beds, 14
Nursery beds, and 3 Intermediate Nursery beds. The patient ratios
comply with established guidelines. Candidates should possess a
minimum of one year of experience in a similar role. This role is
ideal for a nurse with strong skills in Labor and Delivery as well
as nursery care. The education requirement includes an Associate
degree in Nursing. Scrubs of any color are acceptable. This
position is a contractor replacement. A personality fit that aligns
with the team and patient care environment is preferred.
