Job Description The physician will work as follows: - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the Endoscopy Suite conducting procedures. - Tuesday, the physician will see patients in the office. - Thursday is split between office visits and procedures in the Endoscopy Suite. - Night call duties are included. Patient encounters per day are approximately 25. Board certification is not required, but board certification eligibility is necessary. International Medical Licensing Compact (IMLC) is not applicable. The estimated credentialing timeframe is 30 days. Specialty Skills Required: - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology - Upper GI endoscopy, with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), and injection of varices - Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures - Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) - Esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation - Small bowel biopsy - Lower GI endoscopy - Sigmoidoscopy, both flexible and rigid - Colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyp - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Preferred Skills: - Liver biopsy - Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Facility Details: - Trauma Level: 0 - Facility Pediatrics Level: 0 - No specific certifications are required (ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, or Other).
