Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract - Location: Hickory, North
Carolina 28602 - Unit: Labor & Delivery – Birthing Center -
Duration: 8 weeks (Start: 12/08/2025 – End: 01/31/2026) - Shift:
3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), weekdays with every other
weekend - Hours per Week: 36 - Patient Ratio: 1:2 - Flexibility:
Option to flex to a 4th shift if available - Estimated Weekly
Salary Range: $1,570 - $1,680 Registered Nurse Qualifications -
Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
(Mother/Baby nursing experience required) - Previous travel nurse
experience preferred - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in
North Carolina or compact state - BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA
required) - NRP certification - AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate
certification preferred - Proficiency with electronic charting
systems - COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions
considered) Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities - Deliver
comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a
fast-paced birthing center - Circulate for C-sections and assist
with triage of obstetrical patients - Monitor and respond to
abnormal fetal heart rate patterns - Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, Physical Therapy,
Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Social Services - Maintain
accurate and timely clinical documentation - Float to other
hospital units as needed - Participate in orientation and ongoing
