ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Jefferson, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday • 1:1 patient ratio • Call requirement as needed with 30-minute callback requirement • Every other weekend coverage required • No float requirements • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS • Experience required in general OR settings including colonoscopy, EGD, laparoscopic-assisted cases, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, and hernia repairs • Must be skilled in various surgical procedures including C-sections, hysterectomy, cataract extraction, orthopedic surgeries, and urological procedures • Proficiency required with electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment, blood product administration, and conscious sedation monitoring • Experience with infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling, and peripheral IV placement • Must be comfortable with PACU recovery procedures • Work with specialized equipment including Stryker orthopedic equipment, Olympus laparoscopic equipment, and Fugi endoscopy system • Use Meditech documentation system and Omnicell medication management • Scrubs provided by facility • 24-hour unit orientation required • NC or compact state nursing license required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department providing a wide range of outpatient and inpatient surgical procedures.
