Description Introduction B3 is a 20-bed medical-surgical unit that specializes in patients with barriers to discharge. B3 is led by Nursing Support and Clinical Operations leadership. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to our patients and work closely with case management to ensure that they have the safest possible plan for discharge. This is a fast-paced unit with patients who have discharge orders but have barriers that must be overcome for safe discharge planning. Job Summary and Qualifications - As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. - Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." - You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. What qualifications you will need: - Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt. - Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider. - Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Mission Hospital is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
