Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,350 - $7,520 per week Urgent Care Physician Job Details Position Type: Locum tenens physician (Travel) Healthcare Setting: Outpatient urgent care clinic Location: Cashiers, North Carolina (ZIP 28717) – North Carolina healthcare jobs Schedule: Monday – Friday, no call Shift: 12-hour night shifts Patient Volume: 14–18 patients per day Contract Duration: Approx. 24 weeks (10/1/2025 – 3/18/2026) Hours per Week: 36 Clinical Support: Medical Assistant assigned; additional APP onsite EMR System: Cerner Onsite Labs: Available Physician Qualifications Board-certified physician (MD or DO) – urgent care experience preferred Active North Carolina medical license Active North Carolina DEA registration Eligible for Medicaid/Medicare participation Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in urgent care or outpatient healthcare setting Urgent Care Physician Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in an outpatient urgent care clinic Manage a daily patient load of 14–18 Collaborate with onsite Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and Medical Assistants Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR Maintain professional, business casual appearance Support continuity of care and minimize provider turnover Discover the beauty of Cashiers, NC, and enjoy hiking, waterfalls, and a close-knit community while advancing your healthcare career.
