Telemetry Tech Location: Asheville, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,161 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Monitor Tech Profession: Monitor Tech Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not specified Certifications: None Must-Have: Previous travel experience working in remote monitoring Telemetry competent Able to pass basic cardiac rhythm test Ability to analyze and interpret heart rhythms Good attendance record Ability to write and understand English Proficient typing skills Basic computer knowledge Basic knowledge of how to operate an iPhone Ability to monitor a high volume of patients and maintain calm during stressful situations Description: The average number of patients monitored each day is 336. There are a total of 65 staff members in the unit. The patient ratios are 40 patients to 1 monitor tech. Type of equipment used includes GE Carescape EMR. Typical procedures performed include analyzing and interpreting heart rhythms. Building end of shift reports within the GE Carescape system. Adding and discharging patients from the GE Carescape system. Communicating with floor staff via desktop phone and mobile application. Keeping a running call log. Multi-tasking skills are essential. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude. An energetic, respectful, detail-oriented, and organized personality is preferred. The ability to cope with stress in a professional manner is important. CNA background, cardiac nursing background, medical terminology knowledge, ECG-Board Certification, and previous GE monitoring experience are considered advantages. Working 6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks is expected, along with 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks. This position requires significant sitting but does have sit-to-stand capabilities. Shifts are 12 hours in duration. Unit huddles occur at designated times during shifts. Staff must bring their own food or can order from nearby restaurants, as there are no on-site dining facilities.
