Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Seneca, SC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,020 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Seneca, South Carolina, 29672! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse state license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - 1 year of EPIC experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios Description: Shift is nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Call and float are required. Weekend coverage is every other weekend. Medication system is Omnicell. Special procedures involve LDRP with nursery responsibilities. This is a Baby-Friendly facility. Registered Nurses are cross-trained in labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage. Our unit also cares for patients undergoing GYN surgery. Registered Nurses perform their own hearing screenings. Patient ratios are 1:1 with labor patients, 1:2 with Cytotec inductions, 1:1 with Magnesium patients, and 1:3 with couplet (mother-baby) care. If a baby goes to the sick nursery, the RN is 1:1. The unit will review first-time travelers depending on years of experience. While efforts are made to keep staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies. Daily census includes neonates and adults. Number of visits per day is approximately 10. The unit has a designated number of rooms and beds. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Common patient diagnoses include labor, preterm labor, preeclampsia, fetal demise, and hysterectomy. Special equipment used includes Panda warmers and Giraffe incubators. Travelers must meet specific distance requirements to be eligible for assignments. Travelers cannot extend for a fourth consecutive contract. Travelers who do not wish to convert to team member status must have a minimum six-month separation before reapplying. Completion of pre-assignment testing and modules is required for all registered nurses. Modules are billable, up to 16 hours. Pre-start modules are recorded in transcripts, and time is not entered into timecards.
