Carolina, 28801! Registered Nurse - PICU – UHC Staffing Registered

Date: 04-17-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type:
Rotating nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, rotating schedule including
weekends (must work 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule), Night shift
Hours per Week: 36 Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour About United

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care for pediatric
patients in the PICU, maintaining 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios as
appropriate Manage ventilators and support advanced respiratory
care including ventilator management and trach care Perform and
manage invasive and non-invasive procedures such as IV starts,
central line dressing changes, catheterizations, and assisting with
LPs Monitor and interpret hemodynamic and ICP data to guide
clinical interventions Coordinate feeding support including tube
feeding placement and management Document care accurately and
efficiently in Cerner to ensure continuity and safety Collaborate
with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement
patient-centered care plans Educate and support families during
high-stress situations with clear communication and empathy
Qualifications Active RN licensure appropriate for the assignment
(state license or multistate compact as applicable) PALS
certification required Minimum experience: 2 years RN experience
indicated; unit requests at least 1 year of PICU experience Comfort
and demonstrated skill with pediatric critical care procedures and
monitoring Willingness to float to Pediatrics and NICU when needed
Ability to work a rotating night schedule and meet the weekend
coverage requirement Knowledge & Skills Strong pediatric critical
care knowledge including PICU protocols and patient ratios
Experience with ventilator management and tracheostomy care Skill
in hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring Competence with
central line care, IV starts, catheter management, and tube
feedings Familiarity with Cerner electronic documentation
Experience using Alaris infusion pumps and other unit equipment
Teamwork, clinical judgment, and clear communication with families
