Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and
minimum 1 years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who
do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A
healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Radiologic
Technologist skilled in imaging and X-ray technology. This contract
role is based in Gastonia, NC, offering a 12-hour night shift
schedule from Friday to Sunday, 7 PM to 7 AM. Responsibilities
include verifying and questioning exam orders, preparing and
educating patients, performing imaging exams with anesthesia
support when necessary, administering IV contrast, evaluating image
quality, and adhering to radiation safety protocols. The role
demands collaboration with Radiologists and other medical
personnel, maintaining infection control standards, and documenting
procedures accurately in an EMR system. Candidates will utilize
advanced imaging technology including MRI and CT systems and
support patient care functions by communicating any status changes
to nursing staff. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum 1
year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or X-ray Tech.
National certification (ARRT(R) or NMTCB, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT)
required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience
administering IV contrast and performing invasive procedures
safely. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC, Epic
Radiant, Philips iSite PACS). Ability to operate MRI safely,
including knowledge of MRI safety protocols around magnetic fields.
Strong patient communication skills, ability to review clinical
histories and work with diverse patient populations including ED,
inpatient, and outpatient settings. This position offers no call
shifts, weekend rotation with 75% holiday work expectations, and
parking facilities at no cost. There is no requirement for North
Carolina licensure, and first-time travelers are welcomed.
