Job Description:

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinarian to join our team, providing end-of-life care and euthanasia services to pets in their homes. In this role, you will work closely with pet owners to ensure a dignified and peaceful farewell to their beloved pets. You will be responsible for administering palliative care, managing pain, and performing in-home euthanasia, ensuring all actions contribute to the serene and respectful ethos of our service. This position requires a deep empathy for animals and their owners, alongside strong communication and veterinary skills. Provide compassionate end-of-life care in a home setting Perform in-home pet euthanasia Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing emotional support and clarity during the euthanasia process Administer medications and treatments for palliative care Consult with pet owners regarding pet health and medical conditions Maintain detailed records of patient visits Collaborate with veterinary assistants and other team members to ensure a seamless and dignified experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent patient management skills Profound empathy towards animals and their owners Ability to work independently Proficient in administering sedation and euthanasia Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid state veterinary license Certification in Euthanasia Administration and/or Palliative Care (preferred)
