WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS Expanding, comprehensive pain practice is
seeking nurse practitioner/ physician's assistant to evaluate new
and established patients in our Franklin clinic. This is an
opportunity to develop your own patient practice with intermittent
but regular physician collaboration. This is a predominately
procedural and operative pain management clinic. Low dose
medication options assist patients with their pain complaints. You
will be responsible for the efficient and accurate evaluation,
interpretation, diagnosis, and treatment of painful conditions. You
will have the opportunity to manage medications, recommend and
coordinate ancillary care including physical therapy or specialty
consultation, order of urine drug screens, radiographic and
serologic studies, and determine suitability for operative and
interventional pain therapies. The successful candidate will become
comfortable safely prescribing controlled substances and monitoring
compliance with the North Carolina Controlled Substances Database.
The candidate can be trained to independently perform procedures
such as trigger point and joint injections. Our fellowship trained
physicians will train/mentor the selected applicant. Demonstrated
ability to work independently and as an effective member of a
health care team. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to effectively collaborate with members of the healthcare
team. Ability to establish/build relationships with referring
providers. Requires graduation from a Nurse Practitioner/Physician
Assistant program approved by the NC Board of Medical Examiners.
Qualifications: Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced
Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program allowing licensure as an
Advanced Practice Provider in the state of North Carolina. Board
certification/eligible if required by applicant’s degree granting

Required Functional Experience: Experience preferred, but no
experience required. Compensation: Final compensation dependent
upon experience, negotiable. Scheduled Hours: Monday through Friday
4x10 or 8x5, no weekends, no holidays, no call. Benefits: 401(k)
