Job Description:
Southern Health Partners offers an opportunity for a dedicated
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to extend their professional skills
in the unique and challenging environment of the Hawkins County
Jail. Our LPNs are vital to our mission of providing top-notch
medical care in a secure setting. With a focus on compassionate
patient interaction, our healthcare team is driven by high ethics
and the desire to meet both health and rehabilitative needs of the
patient population. Administer daily medication and treatments as
per physician orders. Conduct medical screenings and health
assessments of inmates. Document medical records and report
critical information to correctional healthcare team. Maintain
compliance with all facility and standard nursing protocols. Assist
in the development and implementation of healthcare plans for
inmates. Handle medical emergencies and provide first response
care. Coordinate with external medical facilities for scheduled
appointments and emergencies. Strong clinical skills with the
ability to work under pressure. Effective communication, both
verbal and written. Critical thinking and problem-solving
capabilities. Ability to handle medical and administrative
documentation. Strong ethical grounding and respect for patient
confidentiality. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in
the state of employment. CPR certified or ability to obtain
certification.
