Gastroenterologist Opportunity Äì Hickory, NC Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist to join our high-volume, well-established practice in Hickory, North Carolina.Position Details - Call rotation: 1:7 ( 4 Äì5 days/month) - Partnership/ownership track available - Balanced schedule with support from experienced APPs and staff - Collaborative, physician-led environment with strong hospital support Group Details - 15 total providers (9 physicians, 6 APPs) - Dedicated Medical Assistants for each physician - Endoscopy Center staff includes CRNAs, scrub techs, and pre/post-op nurses Position Details - Colonoscopies: 11,000/year - EGDs: 3,500/year - Average 31 scopes and 10 EGDs per week per physician - Procedures at both Endoscopy Center and Medical Center - Endoscopy Center: 3 GI suites, Olympus 190 scopes, 12 Äì14 procedures/day per room - 2 ORs/GI suites, full anesthesia coverage 24/7 - EUS preferred but not required - 1:7 hospital and ED call rotation - Weeknights: 5 PM Äì7 AM - Weekends: Sat 7 AM ÄìMon 7 AM - No inpatient rounding during call hours - Weekday hospitalist coverage: 7 AM Äì5 PM, rotates 1 week at a time, supported by dedicated APP Facility Details - 20 exam rooms and private physician offices - Infusion room on-site - Adult and geriatric patient population - Clinic hours: Mon ÄìFri, 8 AM Äì5 PM - Endoscopy Center hours: Mon ÄìFri, 7 AM Äì4 PM - New patients: 30 min; follow-ups: 15 min Benefits Details - Productivity bonus eligible starting Year 2 - Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, short-term/long-term disability, life & AD&D insurance - Malpractice coverage - 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan - Paid time off: 20 days annually (4 weeks; negotiable) - CME: 5 days per year (pre-approval required) - Administrative ? day per week (outside hospitalist weeks) Community DetailsHickory is a vibrant community nestled between Charlotte and the Blue Ridge Mountains, offering excellent schools, affordable living, and easy access to outdoor recreation.
