Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Jefferson, North
Carolina. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR -
Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 -
Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - OR Job Details: • Work
Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM day shifts • 1:1 patient
ratio • Call requirement every third day and every third weekend •
Call coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays and Friday 3:00
PM to Monday 7:00 AM on weekends • 30-minute call back time with
cases lasting 2-4 hours or longer depending on complexity • Eye
procedures performed weekly • No floating or weekend requirements •
Set schedule with 24-hour unit orientation • Scrubs provided by
facility • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required •
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS • Experience required in
general OR settings including colonoscopy, EGD,
laparoscopic-assisted cases, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon
resection, hernia repair, hysterectomy, C-sections, cataract
extraction, arthroscopy, total joint replacement, and cystoscopy •
Must be proficient with electrosurgical units, fiber optic
equipment, blood product administration, cardiac monitoring,
conscious sedation monitoring, infection control, radiation safety,
specimen handling, IV placement, and PACU recovery • Experience
with Meditech documentation system and Omnicell medication
management required • Must work with specialized equipment
including Stryker orthopedic equipment, Olympus laparoscopic
equipment, and Fuji endoscopy systems Facility: This healthcare
facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department
specializing in a wide range of procedures including general
surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gynecology/obstetrics, and
urology. The facility maintains modern surgical equipment and
provides interdisciplinary support services including physical
therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. The
organization focuses on quality patient care with a daily census of
approximately 10 patients across 3 operating rooms and maintains
strict safety protocols and evidence-based practices. Location:
