Details - Diagnostic radiology department within a 182-bed Trauma Level IV teaching hospital that is also a designated Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center - High-volume department averaging 325 patients per day across modalities, serving ED, inpatient, and outpatient populations - Modalities include Radiology (DX), CT, Dual Modality CT/DX, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine - Uses Siemens and GE equipment; EMR is Epic - 12-hour day shifts, Saturday through Monday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (36 hours/week) - Schedule cycles every 4 weeks; RTO requires manager approval - Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays - No floating required Requirements - Minimum of 12 months of core work experience in the applicable radiology modality, with most recent experience within the last year - Current BLS required for all modalities - Rad Tech (DX): ARRT(R) - CT Tech: ARRT(R)(CT) - Dual Modality CT/DX: ARRT(R)(CT) - MRI Tech: ARRT(R) or NMTCB, plus ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT - Ultrasound Tech: ARDMS (no specific anatomy cert required) or ARRT - Nuclear Medicine Tech: ARRT-N or NMTCB - Active license required if applicable - NC state licensure is not required - Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration - 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN - Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Orientation includes online NEO courses followed by 3–5 days of departmental orientation, varying by modality - Weekend rotation and on-call requirements vary by modality and will be discussed during the interview - Department culture emphasizes high-volume throughput and team accountability in a patient-centered care environment - Nursing and transport support available within the department - Black scrubs required - Free parking available on-site - Candidates who have worked a permanent position at any AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being considered American Traveler Job ID P-687279.
