Monitor Tech Location: Asheville, NC Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $1,100 to $1,200 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Travel Monitor Tech (Telemetry) – Night Shift Location: Asheville, NC Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (12-hour night shift) Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 04/13/2026 Job Description We are seeking an experienced Travel Monitor Tech (Telemetry) for a 13-week onsite assignment in Asheville, NC. The candidate will work in a Central Monitoring Unit responsible for monitoring a high volume of cardiac patients remotely. The role requires strong telemetry skills, the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms, and effective communication with floor staff while maintaining accuracy and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms for multiple patients Interpret and report heart rhythm changes promptly Maintain end-of-shift reports in monitoring systems Add and discharge patients in monitoring software Communicate with floor staff via phone and mobile applications Maintain call logs and patient monitoring documentation Handle high patient volume and multitask efficiently Requirements Job Requirements (Must Have) Minimum 2 years of Monitor Tech/Telemetry experience Previous travel experience in remote monitoring preferred Telemetry competency required EKG Certification required Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills Good attendance and professional work ethic Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) Basic computer and typing proficiency Ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications CNA or Cardiac Nursing background Medical terminology knowledge ECG Board Certification Experience with GE Carescape or similar monitoring systems
