Are you looking for an organization in which you have a team helping you with your growth and development?Join Graystone Eye, where our vision is to achieve exemplary clinical outcomes and provide an unparalleled experience for patients, employees and families.Graystone is looking for a Human Resources Assistant who will handle and provide support for various HR employee programs within the organization to include workforce planning and employment, training and development and assists with the oversight of overall organizational compliance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner.Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and conducts reference checks.Prepares new-hire paperwork.Initiates new hire on-boarding procedures.Assists in payroll process with recording of time and travel logs.Provides support with time entry system.Maintains employee compliance training records up to date by alerting managers and employees utilizing HRIS system.Assists HR with the coordination and delivery of HR and compliance related training.Assists HR and Safety Committee with the coordination and delivery of safety training.Assists with the audit of departments as required by the Compliance Calendar.Generates reports for departmental leadership with deficiencies identified.Assists as needed with developing corrective actions for deficiencies identified.Assists with the development of HR policies for the organization.Assists with the development of HR employee engagement initiatives as needed.Attend HR and Compliance educational events to remain current with HR industry trends, laws, and regulations.Stay current of regulatory releases.Continually evaluate processes to determine areas of inefficiency or at risk for deficiency.Submit monthly reports to CHRO, Safety Officer, and Privacy Officer for review.Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individuals must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be proficient on most office applications, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.REASONING ABILITYAbility to read and comprehend complex instructions, write robust reports, effectively present information in one-on-one and group situation to other employees of the organization, and evaluate and refine systems throughout the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
