Overview 

Carolina Animal Specialty and Emergency in Hickory, NC is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor for our daytime specialty practice. CASE is a multi-specialty practice with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and 24-hour emergency and critical care. They are supported by our highly trained and compassionate team of technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. A Registered Veterinary Technician with supervisory experience is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities: 

• Scheduling to meet veterinarians needs
• Managing veterinary technicians shifts
• Training and coaching veterinary technicians
• Assists nurses 
• Monitor and sets performance standards 
• Maintains accurate patient records
• Carry out job duties professionally while effectively supervising veterinary technicians 
• Serve as an active participant in our management team

Requirements 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2-5 years of previous experience in supervisory role
• Certified or Registered Technician (required)
• Highly skilled in veterinary technology 
• Problem solver  
• Strong work ethic 
• Strong written, verbal, and oral communication skills 
• Organizational skills
