Role SummaryWe are looking for an analytical, skilled individual to
join our Supply Chain team as an inventory analyst. The
responsibilities of the inventory analyst include managing
inventory items, controlling day-to-day inventory operations, and
implementing inventory control protocols. To be successful as an
inventory analyst, you should be analytical with strong attention
to detail. Ultimately, a top-notch inventory analyst should possess
acute commercial awareness and should be able to interpret and
implement data on consumer trends and spending.
Responsibilities
- Prepare inventory accountability exercises either monthly or
quarterly or on a yearly basis as defined by management. Periodic
projects to correct possible areas outside set control limits
defined and shown on our KPI's for our departments
- Investigates analysis into inventory discrepancies, determines
root cause of discrepancy, and communicates with and to various
departments and members of management regarding results
- Enters data into computer (Fishbowl or current database
systems) for inventory control
- Identify, qualify, negotiate, and manage strategic supplier
relationships in support of senior buyer or supply chain leads and
management
- Drive program management efforts in areas such as cost
reduction programs, supplier changes, relocation of suppliers,
design changes, etc
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe
working environment for all team members
- Identify excess, obsolete, and discontinued inventory
issues
- Attend safety trainings to learn how to work safely in a
fast-paced warehouse environment
- Pulls weekly reports in BI to monitor cycle count accuracies,
along with floor/storage room site verifications
- Pack, load, and ship items to stores and guests on-site. Open,
inspect and transact receipt of items as well as organize and put
items away
- Protect the financial performance of the organization by
identifying potential supply chain issues
- Management of bin storage locations
- Reviews raw material, semi-finished, and finished goods
obsolesce reports on monthly basis to identify ages and slow-moving
materials. May require additional structure and layouts of storage
areas for supply house
- Engage in problem solving to support continuous improvement and
ensure accurate processing of all materials to workstations
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
- Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working
independently and in a team environment
Skills and Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor's in related field of study
preferred
- 2-5 years of related field of study and/or sourcing hardware,
fasteners, steels, or machined parts experience is preferred
- Must be able to pick, pull and issue materials to job
travelers, filing Kanban carts for replenishment in a factory
setting
- Must be able to audit vendor carton counts
- Must be data-driven with solid problem-solving skills
- Must be able to accurately use basic math skills (counting,
addition, subtraction)
- Be able to accurately read labels, tickets, and other product
documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot to successfully investigate and
communicate inventory discrepancies
- Be able to operate basic usage of Iphone or Android devices,
Smart TVs for presentations
- Must be able to plan, control and assure product and process
quality in accordance with quality principles, which include
planning processes, material control, acceptance
- Must be able to bend and lift/move/push a minimum of 60-100
pounds and reach above the shoulder continuously through the
shift
- Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate
and understand relevant information relating to quality and
production issues. Good written and oral communication skills is a
must.
