Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites dedicated nursing students to join our
compassionate team as a PRN Nurse Extern in Adult Med Surg. This
position offers the opportunity to gain invaluable hands-on
experience in a dynamic hospital setting, working alongside our
professional nursing staff and contributing directly to patient
care. You'll develop critical skills in a supportive environment
that values education and commitment to excellence. Assist nursing
staff with patient care activities in the Med Surg unit. Monitor
patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising
nurse. Help in the preparation and administration of medications as
directed by a nurse. Support the documentation of patient care and
response to treatment. Participate in educational and training
sessions to continuously improve skills. Basic knowledge of medical
terminology and procedures Effective communication and
interpersonal skills Ability to follow instructions and work in a
team Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Medical

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required or must be obtained
within 90 days of hire.
